Back in October 2021 and July 2022 we reported on the World Butchers' Challenge in Sacramento, California, where the German national butcher team, Butcher Wolfpack, will again compete against the best in the world. We have been supporting the German team with our umbrella brand GOLDBEEF for a year already and we are the official sponsor of the national team.

Top butchers from all over the world will compete to be crowned the world's best butcher team. That's why the event is also known as the "Meat Olympics". Fourteen countries compete against each other, including Australia, the USA, Brazil, Canada, the UK, Iceland, Italy, Ireland, New Zealand, Portugal, Wales, France, Ireland and Germany.

The competition goes on for three and a half hours, during which time the competing teams are given a side of beef, a side of pork, a whole lamb and five chickens to be prepared in a technically correct yet creative and stylish way.

We are excited to see if last year's winner Ireland can be defeated.
