You will have heard from the security department via statements, newsletters or information. If some kind of issue arises, you may even hear from the security department personally.

Reporting messages
Of course, the security department does much more than just send out newsletters. For example, it checks daily which reported mails actually pose a threat to Vion. These e-mails are submitted by users themselves, after which the security department assesses them. If you do not know how to report a message; Top right of your mail > Report message > enter the reason.

Suspicious login attempts
In addition to the mails, there is also daily monitoring of users who have made suspicious login attempts. For example, were they in the Netherlands at 10.00 am and in Russia at 11.00 am? The security department will then monitor the activities of these users. Sometimes we may have to contact these users. In rare cases, we may suspend the account.

Other than that, we as the security department are constantly working to increase IT security within Vion. This is done based on the security roadmap. This contains projects and objectives that Vion wants to achieve as an organisation in four theme areas:

We cannot increase security within Vion on our own; it is a team effort. Partly thanks to your cooperation and reporting of suspicious e-mails, Vion is becoming a more secure organisation.
