After fifteen successful years at Vion, Matthias Pelkner will be leaving of his own accord on June 30, 2022. He joined the company in 2007 as Production Manager, and was employed in the Performance Center BU South of Vion's Fresh Meat Division. During his time at Vion, Matthias Pelkner also worked as Operations Manager for all Beef locations in Germany and the Netherlands, before taking on the role of Director Cluster South of BU Beef in August 2014.

He helped to shape and decisively furthered our activities in Southern Germany. As part of this effort, he promoted closer cooperation and knowledge sharing between the Southern German locations. Matthias Pelkner worked extensively on our operational excellence and optimised the efficiency and capacity of various locations. Together with Purchasing and Sales, he developed Vion's BBC approach in the Operations Division.
