In March this year, we reported on our pilot project as part of our People Matter Operational Leadership Programme on Vionline. Now the first group has successfully completed the year-long training programme, with an in-person celebration on 12 July 2022 in Fulda. A true expression of our celebrating success philosophy. Why was an in-person meeting so important? The year-long programme was run exclusively online due to Covid, which of course had both advantages and disadvantages. That's why it was extremely important for all participants to at least be able to meet and interact with each other in person at the end.

What did our colleagues learn?

Operational leaders in production were among the pioneers of the People Matter Operational Leadership Programme. The diverse team was drawn from the Waldkraiburg and Emstek sites. As part of the training, team members were provided with management tools to prepare them for current and future challenges. How do I motivate my employees? How do I resolve conflicts? How do I lead results-focussed discussions? And what is my true leadership style? Our colleagues at Vion received answers to these questions and many more. Vion values were always central. Through practical examples, theory, and active exercises, our leaders were equipped with valuable knowledge which they could deploy in their everyday work.

The programme for groups two and three will also end soon, with celebrations taking place on 26.07.2022 in Grossostheim.

Two new groups have begun as part of the German rollout, with another eight to follow in September 2022. Ten more groups involving our Dutch colleagues will also begin the People Matter Operational Leadership Programme this year.
