After a period of semi-retirement, Klaus Voigt will be saying his final goodbye to our site in Perleberg, after 25 successful years as Site Director and later Managing Director. After finishing his studies and a training programme at Centralgenossenschaft Hannover (CG), the agricultural scientist first worked in cattle procurement in the late 1980s, before taking on the role of special representative for the new states of Germany in 1990. Klaus then moved to Norddeutsche Fleischzentrale GmbH (NFZ), following a merger between CG and Nordfleisch in 1991, and in 1996 he was entrusted with the management of the pig slaughtering operations in Perleberg.
After the acquisition of NFZ by Vion Food Group, Klaus became the Managing Director of Vion Perleberg GmbH in 2008. Originally from Lower Saxony, along with his chosen homeland of Brandenberg, we will remember his contributions as he passes on the baton to his successor.
We would like to thank Klaus for his exceptional dedication and brilliant work over the last 25 years. We are also pleased to report that he will continue supporting Vion and our operations in an advisory capacity.
Ringo Beinroth will be the new Plant Manager and successor to Klaus Voigt in Perleberg. After his initial management stints at Kaufland and Danish Crown, the qualified meat engineer moved to Vion from the Goldschmaus Group nine years ago. Ringo first worked in procurement (among other areas), before becoming Plant Manager of our former location in Zeven between 2014 and 2017, followed by the role of Operational Manager at the Vion site in Landshut.
We wish Ringo every success in his new position.
